Anxiety, on its own, is a normal and healthy experience. It is our body and mind’s way of preparing us to deal with a threat. It can help us to be more alert and aware of our surroundings, and it can also help us to identify potential dangers and to take action to avoid them.
However, anxiety can also become a problem when it is out of proportion to the perceived threat, or when it is constant and interferes with our daily lives. When this happens, we may need help to manage our anxiety.
There are a number of ways to manage anxiety, though it is not a one-size-fits-all approach. Everyone is different and what works for one person may not work for another. The most important thing is to find what works for you, because above all – getting the appropriate care for our anxiety is most important.
